JUJY FRUITS

Type is a great way to play and make, for this instance, I was designing a candy brand towards two audiences. The objective being to create posters that explain or resemble how the audiance would feel or appeal to the JUJY Fruits candy. The first audience being children eight and up, they focus on color, what pops out at them, also flavors, and shapes. My second audience is adults, moms, more importantly. Moms don't care what color it is, that they care what's in it, and RED 40 isn't the best. You also have the almond mom audience where some moms won't buy anything with six or more ingredients, which is great, but not for JUJY fruits. Parents are looking for facts, not eye candy, and maybe even for information like Facebook or a contact number. My color selection is chosen for kids to relate to the shapes and colors that are inside the package, while also highlighting the POP of color concept to the target audience. The parent/mom target audience is more bland and light because parents are looking at color differently, they’re seeing what’s a good match with a sandwich for lunch, not “junk”. I designed the Mom audience to the opposite of the kids, which is popping out because even if this was colorful, I think it would get the same or even more avoidance.

Process

This Project took about 3 weeks, just because of how much I played and changed my layout. Also, when it comes to color, I believe it should be added last, the design should tell the story, and color enhances that. I changed a lot and there's still a lot I would change, just certain sizes and eye targets. All type is featured from the box, word for word, for true product representation.
