Throughout my junior semester at CCS, I learned about John Maeda and his rules of simplicity, we were to take his book and re-design it as students who have learned from him, and who know his philosophy. Through simplicity, I learned to subtract the obvious, be more creative regarding type, and use proper grids. This project was crafted for design students and professionals who are keen to explore and understand the influential work of John Maeda, a renowned designer and educator. The goal was to create a resource that highlights Maeda’s career and contributions and serves as an engaging educational tool for those interested in his innovative design principles.
John Maeda is an inspiration of mine, everything he's done and doing, he's been nothing short of outstanding. He's a funny, kind, real guy who wants to stand up for art, who can’t support that? The journey began with an in-depth exploration of John Maeda’s work and philosophies. I delved into his design principles, including his emphasis on simplicity, the integration of technology and design, and his impact on the field. This research laid the foundation for the project.

GROWTH is funny—positive, negative, backward, or forward. Whatever the case, it should be welcomed. Life has taught me many things, and Art has allowed me to remember, personify, and document my journey as a person and artist.
