Collage has always been one of my favorite mediums for both personal expression and project work. I disassembled my keys and meticulously photographed each keychain alongside a piece of a magazine ad. For this shoot, I took apart my keys and photographed all my keychains and a piece of a magazine ad, separately. In Photoshop, I combined, resized, and reconfigured seven keychains into a chaotic, layered collage that pulls the viewer’s eye in multiple directions. This overwhelming visual noise evokes a sense of panic, yet surprisingly, the process only took a little longer than working on paper. I love pushing boundaries through experimentation—it helps me master new tools, inspires fresh techniques for future projects, and makes weird things like this.

LIZZY STAPLETON

GROWTH is funny—positive, negative, backward, or forward. Whatever the case, it should be welcomed. Life has taught me many things, and Art has allowed me to remember, personify, and document my journey as a person and artist.
